WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT YOU
THE BIG 3
01
CHOSEN
Ephesians 1:4

“he chose us in him before the foundation of the world”

God picked you before you did anything, good or bad. Your worst day can’t un-pick you.

02
SAINT
Ephesians 1:1

“To the saints who are in Ephesus”

Saint means set apart, belonging to God. It isn’t a trophy for good kids; it’s a name God gives.

03
IN CHRIST
Ephesians 1:3

“blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing”

“In” is an address. Everything that belongs to Jesus gets delivered to you there.

THINK ABOUT IT

What label has someone put on you? What does God call you instead?

“Upstream”
Toyota · Super Bowl ad, 2021 · 1:00

A baby waits in a Siberian orphanage. A mom hears, “Her life, it won’t be easy,” and says yes anyway. That baby grew up to be Paralympic swimmer Jessica Long.

Watch for this: what did Jessica do to get chosen?

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

ONE STEP THIS WEEK

When the old label shows up this week, answer it out loud: “God picked me first.”
